Dalila joined Nockolds Solicitors Limited in 2005 and is Head of Official Translations. She set up the sworn official translations division. Dalila is a Legal and Sworn Official Translator (English and Spanish) appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. Before joining the firm, Dalila graduated with a master’s degree in Legal Translation from University of Granada in Spain.
Dalila is also a graduate in Applied Linguistics from University of Northumbria in Newcastle. Dalila was appointed Sworn Official Translator of Spanish and English (Certification no. 3674) by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in January 2003 – this means that her official translations are recognised worldwide, and her appointment is recognised by the European Union.
Dalila produces sworn translations which are the official certified translations of documents which need to serve as legally valid instruments in English and Spanish. Sworn translations hold the same validity held by the original documents in the country in which they were first issued. Dalila undertakes official and legal translations of a wide variety of documents including contracts, certificates, decrees, Wills, notarial deeds, judgements, police and administrative documents, ACRO certificates and medical certificates for Spanish Visa applications and any other legal documents in English and Spanish.
In her capacity as Sworn Official Translator, Dalila is a Public Certifying Officer who attests that the translated document is faithful to the original. Her sworn official translations bear official status, and do not need to be legalised (apostilled). She is also an expert in intercultural communication.
She is only responsible for the official translation process into English and Spanish and is not responsible for the legalisation process of the original translated document. Dalila has been recognised as a top expert contributor in the field of official translation. The only legal translations produced by Dalila are those bearing her official translator’s certification, signature, and stamp.
